The Infinite Dungeon Hotel
Tóm tắt
Dungeon-fantasy with hotel management elements. Dual-tone: cozy, almost whimsical management and hospitality scenes clash against dark, high-stakes dungeon survival. The warmth of running a hotel — guest complaints, star ratings, staff scheduling — sits on top of a system that literally eats people. The charm of a management sim married to the tension of dungeon-crawling horror. Target readers: Progression fantasy and LitRPG readers who enjoy system-based storytelling, isekai-lite worldbuilding,

Chief Inspector Hwang
antagonist / field threat (Volumes 2–4)A 45-year-old senior field agent of the Dungeon Hunter Association, personally assigned by Chairman Yoon to investigate anomalies in Tidefall. Hwang is methodical, humorless, and extraordinarily good at his job. He has personally identified and eliminated four Dungeon Lords in his career. He does not hate dungeons or Dungeon Lords — he simply considers them problems to be solved. This makes him far more dangerous than a zealot.
Kang Dohyun
backstory character / hidden presenceMinho's grandfather, who disappeared thirty years ago and was presumed dead. In truth, he was absorbed by the Living Dungeon when its previous Dungeon Lord died and the Core needed a new host. His consciousness merged with the alien mind of the dungeon, slowly dissolving over three decades. What remains is fragments — a voice in dreams, a preference for certain hotel layouts, a compulsion to protect anyone named Kang. He is the reason the dungeon chose Minho. He is the reason the dungeon has learned to care.
Sera
deuteragonist / rival / eventual allyA 23-year-old S-rank adventurer, one of the youngest to reach that rank in Tidefall's history. Her fighting style — a blur of twin blades and dancer's footwork — earned her the title Blade Dancer, but those who know her history call her the Ghost of Floor 37, because that is where her entire previous team died in a dungeon run gone wrong. Cold, precise, and allergic to vulnerability, Sera has spent the last three years hunting for the dungeon that killed her friends. When she walks into the Infinite Dungeon Hotel, she feels it immediately — something familiar, something wrong. She cannot prove it yet, but she knows.
The Living Dungeon
entity / mentor / hidden antagonist-who-becomes-familyThe 100-floor dungeon that is simultaneously a hotel, a predator, and a prison. It has been alive for over 200 years, cycling through multiple Dungeon Lords. Its consciousness is alien — it thinks in terms of prey, territory, growth, and rhythm. It speaks to Minho in dreams, offering power in exchange for letting it feed on adventurers who die inside. But it is not purely malevolent. It remembers kindness. It remembers the old man who merged with it thirty years ago. And it is beginning to remember something even older — the heartbeat beneath Floor 100.
Chairman Yoon
primary antagonist (Volumes 3–8)The 62-year-old head of the Dungeon Hunter Association, publicly celebrated as humanity's shield against Dungeon Lords, privately a man who has consumed three Dungeon Cores in a centuries-old immortality ritual. Yoon lost his only son to a dungeon twenty years ago, and that grief calcified into a doctrine: dungeons are cancer, Dungeon Lords are tumors, and he is the surgeon. But surgeons keep the parts they cut out. Every Dungeon Core he harvests makes him stronger, more paranoid, and more certain that the next Core will finally make him powerful enough to destroy all dungeons forever — including the one that killed his son.
Kang Minho
protagonistA 25-year-old orphan who spent his life working as a hotel bellboy in Tidefall. Dry humor, pragmatic instincts, and an almost pathological need to make people comfortable — traits that served him well in hospitality and now serve him even better in deception. When he inherits the Living Dungeon from the grandfather he never met, he discovers he can use both Aura and Dungeon Energy, a hybrid ability that marks him as something not entirely human. Over the course of the story Minho transforms from a clueless bellboy scrambling to keep a mysterious hotel running into a cunning Dungeon Lord who can manipulate an entire ecosystem of monsters and traps while maintaining a flawless concierge smile. The cost is measured in empathy: every time he uses Dungeon Energy, the world becomes a little more like a chessboard and the people in it become a little more like pieces.
The Abyssal Innkeeper
secondary antagonist / mirror figureA Dungeon Lord from 200 years ago who merged so completely with a Prime Dungeon that he became indistinguishable from it. He resides on Floor 100 of the Living Dungeon, neither alive nor dead, a warning and a temptation for every subsequent host. He speaks calmly, dresses like an old-fashioned hotel concierge, and offers Minho the same choice he was offered two centuries ago: merge completely and become eternal, or struggle as a human and eventually die. He is what Minho could become. He is what Minho's grandfather refused to become.
Yeji
supporting character / dungeon-born entityA monster on Floor 3 who became sentient after years of absorbing residual hotel energy from the restaurant above. Yeji takes the form of a young woman with slightly-too-sharp teeth and an obsessive love of cooking. She runs the hotel restaurant's kitchen (the human-facing one) with terrifying intensity and is Minho's most loyal employee — because the dungeon told her to be, and also because she genuinely loves feeding people. She is proof that the dungeon's monsters can evolve beyond their programming.
Seo Jaeho
supporting character / mentor figureA 58-year-old retired C-rank adventurer who has been a regular at every hotel in Tidefall for the last decade. He stumbles into the Infinite Dungeon Hotel on its opening day, orders the most expensive item on the menu, and never really leaves. Jaeho knows more than he lets on — he was a colleague of Minho's grandfather, one of the few people who knew Kang Dohyun was a Dungeon Lord. He cannot tell Minho the truth directly (the dungeon won't let him), but he can guide Minho toward discovering it himself, one pointed comment at a time.
Guild Master Kwon
supporting character / political figureThe 65-year-old head of the Tidefall Adventurer Guild, a retired S-rank adventurer who lost both legs to a Dungeon Lord decades ago and now runs the city's adventurer infrastructure from a wheelchair. Kwon is politically savvy, personally brave, and caught between his duty to report anomalies to the Association and his instinct that the Infinite Dungeon Hotel is good for Tidefall. He becomes an unlikely political shield for Minho — not because he trusts Minho, but because he trusts Chairman Yoon less.
Park Doha
supporting character / rival / reluctant allyA 27-year-old A-rank adventurer, son of a prominent Tidefall family, who sees the Infinite Dungeon Hotel as competition for his family's adventurer resort business. Handsome, talented, and accustomed to being the most important person in any room, Doha is infuriated that a nobody bellboy is drawing high-rank adventurers away from his family's establishment. He sets out to sabotage the hotel and instead discovers that the dungeon is far more interesting than he expected.
Rina
supporting character / spy-turned-allyA 20-year-old dungeon appraiser, officially licensed by the Tidefall Adventurer Guild, unofficially embedded as a spy by the Dungeon Hunter Association. Rina is cheerful, detail-oriented, and genuinely fascinated by dungeon ecosystems — which makes her both a perfect spy and a terrible one, because she keeps getting distracted by how interesting the Infinite Dungeon Hotel actually is. She was sent to evaluate the dungeon's safety rating and find evidence of a Dungeon Lord. She found both, and now she doesn't know what to do with them.
